NBP Engineers was founded in Macon, Georgia by George M. Nottingham, Jr., a member of the Georgia Institute of Technology Engineering Hall of Fame. Since the beginning, NBP has provided mechanical and electrical expertise to both the public and private sectors, earning Engineering Excellence National Finalist Awards and Excellence in Energy Conservation Conscious Design Awards. As a mid-size firm, NBP prides itself in its ability to handle the demands of large projects while being able to focus on the smallest details while never losing sight of the human factor needed to produce quality designs. NBP's team completes 100 projects per year.

We assure each client that one of the five principals will lead each project, with a second principal or senior staff member maintaining involvement to ensure a knowledgeable lead is available for the client at all times. The diverse backgrounds and extensive problem solving experience acquired by our professionals while completing thousands of projects, allow the firm to be continually successful on many levels. With a firm focus on meeting the needs of the client and users during design, construction, and follow-up, NBP has exceeded expectations on thousands of projects.
For more than 55 years, NBP has successfully completed new construction with state-of-the-art technology as well as renovations, building assessments, and system evaluations and upgrades.With a focus on phasing all work, NBP minimizes or completely avoids downtime to allow facilities to remain operational throughout renovations or additions to existing facilities.
The quality of work performed by NBP is reflected by the fact that we have maintained working relationships of a decade or more with 60% of our clients, including, more than 45 years with The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and Mercer University, more than 35 years with The Medical Center of Central Georgia, and more than 30 years with The Technical College System of Georgia and Emory University.
From Augusta to Atlanta to Auburn, NBP continually utilizes being centrally located to allow us to effectively serve clients throughout the Georgia and throughout the Southeast. NBP teams have continually successfully completed projects, from new construction to major renovations to minor upgrades, while exceeding expectations for budgets and schedules.
